The Hatch Returns - Suspension Upgrades MORE TO COME!

It's been a hot minute since the EF hatch has been my only priority. I still don't have my Del Sol and while I save up for that, I'm starting to install parts on my EF. If you want to pick up a set of coilover, use code "HONDAVLOGS" links and coupon in the description www.ebay.com/itm/154002269102 coupon: HONCIV996 www.maxpeedingrods.com/?tracking=hondavlog
The EF needs WORK! Let's talk about it.

It's time for the EF to get some looking over. I've had the car for over like 12 years and only put springs on it. There is much more it needs and I have all the stuff stashed away. I wanted to make this video to paint a picture of what is in my head to get this whole thing going. If you want to pick up a set of coilover, use code "HONDAVLOGS" links and coupon in the description www.ebay.com/it...

Переглядів 3,2 тис.2 роки тому
RSX Billet Shifter - Is this the best budget option? This video has been a long time coming, I've had this shifter for a very long time. I finally was able to install it into the RSX. I have a few more cool installs for this car but I wanted to address the shifter first. Third gear started to never go in and the throw had too much play. The Maxpeeding Rods shifter is one of the best budget opti...

This thing is probably in a junkyard by now. Poor crz dude abused the f out of that poor car.
Clean car! What strut bar did you use?
What is the paint code for that blue? Planning on K swapping and painting my 1998 Civic LX, only has 36k miles but the clear is faded real bad.
dude super fire dc5 its beautiful
making life goals is how i keep going. lol. if its just getting cars to run. having a savings account. Big thing is hanging out with my family. Job is ok i get alot of praise for where im at and what i do for a living and people look up to me is a big part of why i keep going and been at the same place for 13+ years. All in all everybody is trying to make there way and have purpose. Also challenging my self is what makes me go even harder. Glad to see you doing just random talking in front of the cam. Will all ways watch your content. Let me know if you drop some merch too. Need to pick up a honda vlogs t-shirt.
Podcast would be dope. Something is missing from the honda scene
I think it would great yeah man.
Hey man I've been on the same road your on. I personally have a little bit of a different outlook and it really worked for me. I keep my work and passion separate. My job just is the money man for my passion and taking care of my wife and 3 kids. While I was working at my last job I was taking a bath one night and it hit me I was miserable at my job. Then while I was looking for a new job. I came to the conclusion I just wanted to work somewhere I don't mind being everyday didn't have to be perfect or something to drive my passion. I give it to people who can make there passion profitable. But I feel there's the other side of the coin were finding something to finance your passion is good too. Keeping them separate helped me focus on them easier. I enjoyed the recap but enjoy watching you work on your cars or vlogging more. I'm a big gamer so hearing you talk about working on games is cool. Don't worry about taking big leaps in life take the steps to keep moving forward in the general direction you want to go. Life is to short to take it serious. Take care rooting for you man.
I super appreciate this reply man! I have never been good at taking little steps to get the bigger goal. I've always been an all or nothing kind of person and i know that's going to bite me in the ass. I don't know how you do it or my other friends that have kids and still make it happen. I'm sure once you have them, you either learn or you give up and I'm happy a lot of people don't just give up on things that you want to do. Yeah, i been making games for a long time haha. I want to make something myself but it's another "thing" on the list.
Good to see A video from ya my boy.
I'm out here man!
Glad you posted this. I think you got moves to make man. We're here to see ya succeed. Also always here to chat whenever - you know that. Lemme know when you wanna go grab the sol. I make time to help ya go get it and get it back to your house. PROMISE .... because #SAVETHESOLS
I'm glad i did it, i got more shit to talk about too. I think
i've learned that passion and work go hand in hand. I have always liked cars and stuck with being a mechanic because it was something I knew I could do pretty well. I'm now working alot of hours and at many points lost my passion to work on my own projects, so I feel you in that aspect. The passion and drive to work on my own things comes in spurts and when it does come on, I love it and it is calming and relaxing. I tend to look at the bigger picture too much when it comes to my projects rather than taking the little steps in getting to the end. All in all I say, stick to what you know, and what you know how to do well. I think you have the drive and passion to do what you love, it just has to start somewhere. You will find your path. Good to see another video. You have always made me think and reflect on what I have to do, and what I need to do to get there.
I gots a lot of passions, I have to just point my body and mind into one direction and whole ass something for sure. I appreciate this response, I feel a lot of people are in this same spot and just have to get their mind right and finish stuff. That's my next goal really.
I’d definitely watch a podcast
Sick man. I'm glad to hear it!
Good to see and hear from you again Chris. It’s gotta be hard getting into your own head like that. Seems like this format might help unwind that a bit and let off some mental pressure. With regards to the situation, I don’t think that many people find their passion in their daily work, but rather do some type of work to enjoy some passion elsewhere. Work just has to not be a drag. At least that’s been my experience anyway. Finally, don’t tease us with the del Sol man. Sols are going through a bit of a rennaissance at the moment. That CAN’T be the one you’re considering getting rid of. In any case, take care bro!
Sols never leaving, that one I'm too attached to haha. Yeah, I think works just lacking that carrot because I hit a point where going higher doesn't really check any boxes. I belive you, that the carrots would be what you do outside of work to kind unwind and zone out to.
What's good foo?! Chris, you have to focus on you man a lot of people don't. I am happy you are good though. Sorry about the job loss. I truly know how you feel. Maybe start a Fiver account for freelance. It would be dope to see others talk about the car scene & how toxic it has gotten. Well, most of all here in Maryland, DC & Virginia (DMV). It's not about cars here anymore it's more about a person's race, sex, sexual orientation, or a language they do or don't speak.
I"ve tried the Fiver thing, going to try a few others too. I been freelancing a little bit too. Solid choice actually!
@@HondaVlogs Ahh ok.
Yeah buddy
Mmmyeah
So many of us started around the same time. It's a hard game! You know I'd be down to come on a podcast to talk about anything.
I rabbit hole like crazy too. You know that. Also still funny I went to college for games and now just do car stuff.
I know! I remember we had a group, and it was awesome. Glad that you're still building man it's fun to watch

Mannnnnn ain't that the truth. This was like me just biting the bullet and going for it, wish me luck. haha
Good to see you're uploading again! Looking forward to a harness vid, coincidently I just picked up a harness to replace the overly modded harness I've been running
yeah, had to start fresh, that was the only way.
Wouldn't be a hondavlogs video without all the hand gestures
Interesting history of the swap.... at least it runs and you know what the important jobs are (the battery cable for one!). I used Innovative traction bars for my car. Looking forward to more updates!
yeahhh, it's been a journey. Believe it or not man, I followed your EF swap every video as you were making them what feels like, 10yrs ago. I swear you were building it out of a container or something, reallly old videos. It kept me dreaming.
@@HondaVlogs Haha, I was renting two garages at the time... the one with my car in was broken into, and they tried to start the car.... funny thing was even I couldnt get the car started at the time.... that was what saved it from being stolen. I still have my EF, and some other projects (EGs). I need to get back to posting more videos. Keep up the good work, and bring back the Channel reviews, I loved them!
Nice! I’ll be tuning in! 👍🏼
Hell yeah!
Love the planning and the thought into everything.
Thanks man! it's rough, the planning hold me back a lot too. I gotta just dive in more.
Let's GOOOOOOO
Did you figure it out?
